The abstract nature of Digital Marketing

When is the subject that has the ability to build brand, engage customers, and increase sales, and build business still so misunderstood and misapplied?

Why is it the ones who said, "Digital Marketing is the most important part of a business and we can make sure you reach the desired target" failed (failing) to reach their own targets.

Is it because of lack of awareness about the subject/basics or lack of knowledge on how to use the tools.

Stop bluffing and manipulating customers. We all know Digital Marketing is beneficial for business however, there are various (misconceptions) misunderstandings about digital marketing

  1. Digital Marketing is everything: Digital Marketing is not everything. Even the businesses whose business model is purely online require pr activities in order to gain trust and education consumers on how an app or website works.
  2. Digital Marketing and SEO are not same: Search engine optimisation (SEO) is a crucial element in uplifting company's profile in various SEARCH ENGINES. SEO ensures people searching would see the content of your company first that any other.
  3. Social Media is more than just posting: Posts are the only part people see, however, prior to these posting there are many different elements that encompass an effective post. Secondary market research, target group, behavior, and common “Lingo” used, and many more aspects add to it. With all the research done, Digital Marketers will then be able to do the copywriting in order to make communication as relatable as possible to the target audience. 

  4. Digital Marketing doesn't mean Viral Content: Marketers are mainly driven by numbers and research in order to justify their method of choice when running a marketing campaign. No marketer can promise viral content. No marketer can accurately replicate such results because there are innumerable elements that come into play for content to go viral. There is no assurance that a content will become viral.

You need to understand, it is a challenge to get one's mind around the abstract nature of Digital Marketing. It is an exercise in "Strategy" and "Psychology", and implementing the right combination of tactics.
